Eva

(Dark Fawn)
Date of Birth: 19/07/2014

Eva is our first fawn Cria, born to Spotty, a white female with a small fawn spot on her side who we mated with the champion fawn herd sire Fowberry Nobility.

We have been delighted with the result of this experiment to see if the fawn gene that runs through Spotty’s (registered as Suki) maternal line would produce a fawn Cria. Eva has become one of our top performers, winning reserve or champion sashes  at 4 of the 5 shows she has entered where she was commended for her conformation, elegance and abundance and uniformity of ultrafine fleece.  Eva is now retired from the show ring and gave birth to her first Cria, a lovely fawn boy Noah in 2017 sired by our own Beck Brow Crafter.

Eva is named after our neighbour Eva who is in her 90s, has lived in Fangdale Beck all her life and loves our Alpacas! Personalities and traits often pass through generations and Eva (the Alpaca!) has personality in abundance! She is self-assured yet very friendly and feeds from our hands and enjoys going for a walk on her halter.
