Yarn

Our Alpacas are sheared each year usually in May. We then separate out the fleece into what we call firsts (the longer finer fibre around the body) used to make yarn, and seconds (the shorter fibre around the neck/thighs) that we use to make duvets and pillows and that can also be used for felting. We do not dye our yarn and we process each fleece individually at a Micro Mill to produce natural, fine balls of wool that can be associated with individual animals. Alpaca yarn is renowned for its soft, lustrous, luxurious characteristics.
