In Rooney we feel that we have made very real advances in our breeding programme bringing together multi-championship award winning genetics from two of the most influential herd sires in the UK – Beck Brow Explorer and Top Account of Fowberry.  Rooney is a big strong boy and has been commended in the show ring for his good confirmation and an abundance of fine bright fleece with coverage that uniformly extends across his body. Rooney came second in a highly competitive group at the National Show in March 2017 and subsequently went on a winning streak claiming first place and Reserve Champion White male at the North West Alpaca group Show and first place (Junior White Male), Champion White Male and Reserve Supreme Champion at the Northumberland County Show. We skirted Rooney’s fleece and entered a fleece competition (Northern Fleece Show) for the first time in December 2017 and were delighted when Rooney was awarded 1st place White Huacaya fleece (12-24mths) and Reserve Champion White Fleece.

At home, Rooney is a real gent, extremely easy to handle and is a leader among our group of teenage boys exerting his influence over the others in a very unassuming way. His best friend is Harry with whom he still charges around the fields.
