Beck Brow Crafter

Solid Mid-Fawn

Date of Birth: 9/05/2013

We bought Crafter, our first stud male, from Beck Brow Alpacas of Cumbria in June 2015 having watched him closely for several months. We eventually got to meet him at the NWAG 2015 Alpaca Show and were so impressed with this handsome prize winning boy that we immediately started negotiations with Beck Brow who retain an option for future stud services.

Why Crafter?

  • Crafter brings outstanding Australian bloodlines to Fangdale Alpacas. In combination, his Sire, multi-award winning Waradene St Patrick of EPC and his Dam, Silverstream Galaxy contribute to a pedigree that includes NWA Ruffo, Purrumbete Inti, Purrumbete Highlander, Benleigh Bellisimo as well as Peruvian Hemingway.
  • Crafter’s Dam, Silverstream Galaxy has produced fleeces that reveal a remarkable longevity of fineness – fleece traits that appear to have been passed on to Crafter. Her 7th Fleece Statistics were: MFD: 19.7, SD 4.3, CV 21.9, CF 96.9% with little change in microns over time. Crafter’s second fleece statistics were actually better than his first and the same as those of his Dam.
  • Crafter offers the opportunity to introduce new genetics and bring density into our fawn line but also has the same black toe nails as his Sire, St Patrick, and therefore offers the potential to breed black Alpacas with consistent fineness.
  • Crafter is incredibly easy to work with and has a gentle disposition. Although he has only started working this year we are delighted to have successfully spat-off all 4 of our girls who were confirmed pregnant after their first mating with him!

Crafter is now available for stud services at £450 +VAT for drive-by matings (with a discount offered for 2 or more females)
