She was sired by EPC Top Account of Fowberry and her Dam is Cedar House Stellar Star. She is therefore also a full aunt to the award winning herd-sire Fowberry Nobility. Although Roli is registered as Solid White, she carries a strong mid-fawn genetic trait that has offered us the opportunity to breed fawn Alpacas. Her daughter Spotty last year gave birth to our prize winning mid-fawn Alpaca, Eva. Roli has given birth to three daughters, Millie, Pheobe, Polly and this year gave birth to a son, Hector.

Roli and her progeny are all very confident and can sometimes dominate the other females in the herd especially when we feed them! Ordinarily, Roli is very easy to handle and manage except when she has just given birth! We now keep a woolly hat with our birthing kit and remove all earrings as she has a tendency to chew our hair and heads when we are attending the Cria immediately after the birth. The first year this happened, she ate Nicky’s rather expensive diamond earring and swallowed it!

We have processed Roli’s fleece with Kali’s (solid black) to produce some wonderful limited edition balls of DK grey yarn that are available in our shop.
